CLAUDE KASKIE

 

Claude F. Kaskie, 76 died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1995 at his home.

He was born September 2, 1918 in Des Moines, Iowa to Raymond J. and Anna G. Twamley Kaskie, he married Rosemary Ann Sandbothe on August 27, 1949 in St. Louis. She survives.

He is survived by seven sons, Thomas R. of Peoria, Donald C. of Inverness, Fla, Robert C. of McAlester, Okla., Mark F. of Tulsa, Okla., Paul J. of Austin, Tx., Joseph M. of LaPorte, Iowa and Gregory P. of Elgin Tx., three daughters Madonna A. Kaskie of Peoria, Mrs. Dennis (Mary L.) Pfeffer of Austin, Tx., and Mrs. David (Dorothy E.) Robinson of Tampa Fla., 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Clark J. of Albrightsville, Pa., Dr. Clifford R. of St. Louis and Carl Joseph of Naples, Fla.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

An employee of the American National Red Cross for 31 years, he retired as administrative director of the Peoria Regional Red Cross Blood Program in 1981. He attended Graduate School in St. Louis.

An Army veteran, he worked in the Army Counterintelligence Corps from 1846(sic) to 1949.

He was a member of the "54" Gold Club of Peoria.

He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, St. Jude's Council in Peoria.

Memorial services were held the following Wednesday at his church. The Rev. Robert Schladen officiated.
