MRS. M. L. MADISON

 

Mrs. Mary Lou Madison, 33, a former resident of South Sioux City, died Monday at a Salt Lake City, Utah, hospital of complications following heart surgery.

Mrs. Madison was born May 28, 1928, at O'Neil, Neb. She moved to South Sioux City in 1942 and was graduated from high school there in 1946. She was married to Howard Madison March 26, 1949. in South Sioux City, and they farmed near there until 1958 when they moved to Big Piney, Wyo.

Mrs. Madison was a member of the first Lutheran church, South Sioux City, and Alura chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Thomas; a daughter, Marilyn;, the mother, Mrs. Mary Olguin of San Bernardino, Cal., and two sisters, Mrs. Yvonne Engle of Long Beach, Cal., and Mrs. Betty Jane Dikeman of San Bernardino.

The body will arrive Wednesday night at the Becker home for funerals in South Sioux City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lou Madison, 33, a former resident of South Sioux City who died Monday at Salt Lake City, Utah., will be at 2 p. m. Friday at First Lutheran church in South Sioux City.

Rev. T. J. C. Schuldt will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial park cemetery in Sioux City under direction of the Becker home for funerals.

Pallbearers will be Lowell Beermann, Paul Teager, H. D. Graham, Joe Konettegen, Alan Bligh and Frank Brown.

ERNST-MADISON

The marriage of Miss Mary Lou Ernst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Richards, 215 E. 24th street, South Sioux City, and Howard L. Madison, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Madison of Dakota City, was solemnized at 8 p. m. Saturday at the First Lutheran church at South Sioux City. Rev. J. Ernest Messer officiated. Miss Rita Reed, organist, accompanied Miss Carol Madison, sister of the bridegroom, who sang I Love You Truly, Because and The Lord's Prayer.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an aqua crepe dress with brown accessories, and a corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Edwin Dikeman was her sister's only attendant. She wore toast colored crepe with navy blue accessories.

Wilbur Madison served his brother as groomsman. Ushers were Russell Madison, Pain Teager, Lowe11 Beerman and John Hawkins. John Messer and Gary Johansen were acolytes.

Mrs. Richards wore a black suit with pink carnations and Mrs. Madison, navy blue, also with pink carnations.

After the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors. Assisting were Mrs. Charles Hogeboom, Mrs. Vincent Engle, Mrs. Lester Bates, Miss France Schreiber, Miss Carol Madison, all of South Sioux City, and Miss Marjorie McElhaney of Lincoln.

After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Madison will at home near South Sioux City.
