Ambrose Francis Evers, 87, of Loretto, TN died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Crockett Hospital.

A native of St. Joseph, TN, he was a construction worker, an Army veteran during WWII and a member of the Sacred Heart Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Sr. and Theresa Bauer Evers, one son, Paul Francis Evers, one brother, Sylvester Evers and one sister, Mary Jo Evers.

Visitation was on Friday, September 24, 2004 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church with Father Matt and Deacon Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Survivors are: his wife, Patricia Henkel Evers of Loretto, TN; one son, Mike Evers and wife, Sarah of Loretto, TN: three daughters, Martha Jones and husband, Ricky of St. Joseph. TN, Anita Gullett and husband. Vic of Decatur, AL and Mary Lou Evers of Loretto, TN; five brothers, Oscar Evers, Jr. and Al Evers both of Loretto. TN, Victor Evers of California, Dennis Evers of Stafford, VA and Cyril Evers of Columbia, TN; four sisters, Bernadine Hollman and Lucille Neidergeses both of Lawrenceburg; Dorothy Eckl of St. Florian, AL and Theresa Wenzel of Columbia, TN; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Loretto Memorial Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
