Services for Bud Skaggs, 69, of 1103 Commercial St., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Mr. Skaggs died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at his home pf a heart attack.
He was bom in Missouri Jan. 21, 1905. He was a Waterloo resident for 30 years, coming here from Fairmont, Minn. He was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 25 years, retiring in 1971.
He was married to Carmelita Fox Jan. 19, 1966, in Waterloo. He was a Lutheran.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Ray of Fairmont, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. DeWayne Nutt, also of Fairmont; a brother, Harry of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Engstrom and Mrs, Delia Hoeg, both of Swea City; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Rose Gross of 712 Calumet Dr., Cedar Falls, Mrs. Doris Sizemore of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Dorothy Staley of 712 Stephan Ave.; four grandchildren; and two step-greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
