Kathleen B. Kaskie was born in Harvey, Illinois on March 11, 1933 to James P. and Mary M. Bonnell. At the age of 11, she and her family moved from Harvey to Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from Mount St. Gertrude Academy in Boulder, she moved to Denver to seek employment. She was employed in various offices as a secretary, including a short stint at Frontier Airlines. She married Myles F. Kaskie on April 7, 1956 and together they had four children: three sons, Kevin, Justin and Stefan, and one daughter, Adrianne. In 1975, she and Myles co-founded M-K Trucking Inc., a local air freight transport company. Kathy worked from home while helping to manage the family business, eventually retiring in 2009.
As a long-time member of the Suburbanites, a ladies social club, she enjoyed playing Bunko and participating in their craft group. She also enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, card games, reading, and gardening. Family was very important to her and was the highlight of her life. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Myles, parents James P. and Mary M. Bonnell, sister Valerie Reusink and brother Donald Bonnell. She is survived by her sister Jackie (Rick) Siegfried, daughter Adrianne (Keith), sons Kevin (Carole), Justin (Paula) and Stefan, and grandsons Ryan (Kayla) and Luke.
