Obituary

The community was shocked to receive the news of Nicholas Briick's death which occurred at his home at 3 p. m. Wednesday, Oct. 18.

He had been a patient sufferer with rheumatism for five years and although his cross was heavy, he was always pleasant and ready to visit with every one who came to see him, even to the last.

The end was peaceful, so much so that those at his bedside hardly knew when he passes away.

Mr. Briick was an ideal husband and father and in return received the kindest attention that loving hands could administer to him. His wishes regarding the funeral were told to an intimate friend of the family and they were carried out as he had expressed them.

Mr. Briick was born at Outshead, Germany, and came to America in 1860.

The funeral was held Saturday at 10:30 a. m., Rev. J. Horsfield officiating. Interment at Rosemount.

Research notes for Nicholas

RE: POB - WTT states "Oubschead, Germany," while Jesup paper states, "Outshead" - NEITHER of those locations exist. However, one of these is likely...Outscheid, Otterscheid, Oberstcheid, Unterstcheid.
