WILLIAM REID.

 

William Reid, 76, of 3712 Rownd St., Cedar Falls, died at 1:15 p. m. Sunday at Allen Memorial Hospital.

Death was due to complications incident to advanced age.

Mr. Reid was born in County Donegal, Ireland, Nov. 15, 1881, and came to the United States and Black Hawk county in 1907. He farmed in the county until 1944, when he retired. He married Mae Wagner in 1915, and she died in 1934.

Survivors include two sons, Robert, 346 Butler St., and Clair, 3712 Rownd St., Cedar Falls, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. H. E. Dierenfield, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

MARRIED AT PARSONAGE

At the parsonage of Calvary Evangelical church at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon Rev. J.A. Haehlen, the pastor, united in marriage Miss Mae Wagner and William Reid, both of this city. The bride formerly lived in Dunkerton, but for the past few years has followed her work as professional nurse in this city. Mr. Reid is employed by the W.C.F.& N. They will make their home in Waterloo.
