Ralph Edward Beierschmitt, a life-time resident of the Fairbank community, died Wednesday night at People's Memorial Hospital in Independence. Beierschmitt, 77, was a retired farmer and long-time member of the Immaculate Conception choir.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fairbank with the Rev. Wilbur Ziegler officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank where the Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. Sunday and a parish rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; four sons, James Beierschmitt of Fairbank, Howard Beierschmitt of Garland, Texas, Donald Beierschmitt of Jesup and William Beierschmitt of Fairbank; one daughter, Mary Sue Beierschmitt of Fairbank; one sister, Bernice Jamison of Waterloo; one brother, Neil Beierschmitt of Waterloo; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Bob and John.

Dunkerton Girl Becomes Bride of Fairbank Man Dunkerton, Ia., Oct. 4.
The wedding of Miss Frances Barlow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barlow, and Ralph Beierschmitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Beierschmitt, Fairbank, Ia., was solemnized at high mass at St. Francis church, Barclay township, at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. Father Naebers officiated at the services.
The bride wore a gown of green satin, with silver hat and accessories. Her flowers were yellow roses in an arm bouquet. She was attended by her sister, Miss Grace Barlow, who wore mauve georget and carried butterfly roses. The best man was Walter Beierschmitt, brother of the bridegroom.
Breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, to 20 relatives, with decorations in yellow and white.
The bride is a graduate of Dunkerton high school. Mr. Beierschmltt was graduated from Immaculate Conception academy, Fairbank, and attended Columbia college, Dubuque.
The couple left by motor for a trip to Denver, Colo., after which they will be at home at a farm south of Fairbank.
