Bernice Jamerson
Bernice Jamerson, 83, of the Grundy County Hospital Long-Term Care Facility, Grundy Center, formerly of 722 Kingsley Ave., died at the care facility Tuesday, Jan 5, of a stroke.
She was born April 17, 1909, in Fairbank, daughter of John and Elizabeth Trebon Beierschmitt. She married Harold Jamerson on June 15, 1931, in Fairbank He died Sept. 24, 1980.
Mrs. Jamerson retired from the drapery department of Blacks Department Store.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Charles, both of Waterloo; a daughter, Janice Stewart of San Diego; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Neil Beierschmitt of Jesup; she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.
Memorials may be made to Grundy County Hospital Long-Term Care Facility.
