Leo S. Denicore, 83, of 21 Champlain Drive died Thursday evening at his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh on June 10, 1897, the son of Charles and Agnes (Fassett) Denicore.
His wife, the former Mary E. Rooney, died in 1961.
Mr. Denicore was a member and former trustee of St. Peter's Church. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Plattsburgh Elks Lodge 621 and the American Legion Post 20.
He was past president and owner of the Holcombe Abstract Corp. for 35 years, until he turned the business over to his daughter, Elizabeth Kelly, in 1966. At that time, he moved to Pompano Beach, Fla. where he spent his winters. He moved back to Plattsburgh in June of this year to live with his daughter, Elizabeth.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Kelly of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Anthony (Marie) Linck of Fort Lee, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Velida C. Latourelle of Plattsburgh; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Louise Fifield of Plattsburgh; a niece and four nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church.
Donations may be given to either the heart fund or the cancer society.
