The marriage of Miss Fern M. Stimson and Paul Knoll was solemnized Saturday, Oct. 11, in St. Paul's Methodist church in Cedar Rapids.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Stimson of Lamont and Mr. Knoll is the son of Mrs. Jennie Knoll of Independence.

The couplt will live in Cedar Rapids where Mrs. Knoll is employed by the Iowa National Mutual Insurance company and Mr. Knoll is employed by the Haegg Roofing and Insulation company.

Funeral services for Paul Isaac Knoll Jr., 25, formerly of Independence, who was killed March 4 in a fall from a roof while working with a construction company at San Diego, Calif., will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Swan funeral home here. Burial will be in Wilson cemetery.

Paul was born at Independence April 26, 1928, the son of Paul and Jennie Knoll. He married Fern Stimson of Arlington Oct. 11, 1952, at Cedar Rapids. He was a member of First Presbyterian church here.

Surviving are his widow, daughter, Caroline Margaret; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Knoll, Independence; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Frances Mulligan, Oakland, Cal.; Jean Ann, at home; two brothers, Radioman First Class John Knoll, Honolulu, Hawaii; Pvt. James Knoll, Ansback, Germany; two half-brothers, Alvin Hyde, Compton, Calif.; Thomas Hyde, Independence; one half-sister, Mrs. Gwendolyn Vargarson, Independence.
