Laverne Paul Zewiske, 77, formerly of Fairbank, died Monday, Dec. 14, at Windsor Care Center, Cedar Falls, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Fairbank, son of Paul and Josephine Ambrosy and Zewiske.

Mr. Zewiske was a high school graduate and attended college for two years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had farmed and did carpentry work.

Survived by: a sister, Mardell (Robert) Crawford of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Edwin; and a sister, Theresa.

Services: were 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with burial in the church cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by Fortsch-Duffy Post 552 of Fairbank. Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, was in charge of arrangements.
