Keith R. Thompson, 57, Of 8509 Guadalajara Rd. SW, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, in Mercy Medical Center after a sudden illness. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. B.J Ukena. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after noon Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Janene; a daughter, Beth Thompson Of Cedar Falls; three sons, Chad and Christopher, both of Cedar Falls, and Kody, at home; a brother, Kenneth of Lisbon: and two sisters, Genevieve Seedorff of Independence, Mo., and Mary Hunt Of Oelwein.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Keith was born April 6, 1937, in Arlington, the son of Dewey and Estella Fox Thompson. He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1954 and served in the Army Reserves from 1959 to 1960. He married Beatrice Yeager on Oct. 17, 1964, in Oelwein. She died in 1977. He then married Janene Klammer on July 21, 1979, in Dunkerton. Keith was the sales manager for Gage Food Products Co. in Melrose Park, Ill., for 30 years. He was a member of Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church and the Elks Club.

Keith was well known in northeast Iowa for his musical talents. As a hobby, he played piano and sang for many weddings and anniversaries and provided dinner music for many eating establishments in northeast Iowa.

Keith was a loving husband and father.

A memorial fund has been established.
