Albert B. Wissink

 

Albert B. Wissink, 70, of 212 Mercy Park died of complications of a stroke Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Altoona Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery near Waterloo.

Mr. Wissink was born in Dunkerton and lived in Des Moines since 1971. He was retired from First State Bank of Mount Ayr, was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of the Mount Ayr American Legion.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Sapp of Seattle and LeAnn Wissink of Encinitas, Calif.; two brothers, Lloyd of Gilbert and Marve of Dunkerton; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
