Services Set For Dunkerton Marine Wissink
DUNKERTON

 

Services have been set for Steven Lee Wissink, 19, who was killed in action while on patrol in Vietnam.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dunkerton High School Gymnasium, with the Rev. Paul Bauman, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Bennington Township.

The U. S. Marine corps Reserve 7th 105 MM Howitzer Battery will furnish complete military rites.

Friends may call at the Chapel of Memories in Dunkerton after 8 a.m. Saturday.

Wissink, who joined the Marine Corps a year ago, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Wissink of Dunkerton. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, John; three sisters, Vicki, Jeanne and Denise, all at home; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. L. A. Wissink of Dunkerton; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schmitt of Dewar.
