BURLINGTON, Wis., March 14.
John Heiligenthal died Monday at his home on the Geneva road just west of the city limits after suffering for some time from cancer of the stomach. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church. Rev. J. A. Van Treeck officiating and remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Heiligenthal was born neat Sheboygan, July 16, 1853. When a baby his parents moved to a farm near Lyons and this was his home until about fifteen years ago he came to Burlington and took up the carpenter's trade. On February 20, 1879, he was united in marriage with Mary Nabor in this city who with the following five children now survive: John S. Heiligenthal, Henry Heiligenthal and Mrs. Nic Helgert, Lyons; Mrs. Ernest Krakofsky and Mrs. William Hofner, Burlington.
