Joseph Elbert died on Saturday. The funeral took place on Tuesday at half-past nine o'clock from St. Alphons' Catholic church. His wife died some years ago. Deceased was 88 years old. The following children survive him: J. G. Elbert, Mrs. Ben. Lieb and Frank Foster of Elgin, Ill.; Jos. Elbert, Rock Valley, Iowa; Mrs. J. H. Hoelz, Burlington; and Mrs. Henry Kerkman, New Munster.
