Dixon Matteson, 65, died of an apparent heart attack Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at his office in Winthrop. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Fawcett Funeral Home, Winthrop, by the Rev. Bill Gardner. Burial: Fremont Township Cemetery, north of Winthrop, with military rites. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Gary and Raymond, both of Winthrop: a daughter, Trendy of Cookeville, Tenn.; his mother, Mabel, of Winthrop; and a brother, Duane of Albion.
