Disobeys His Parents; Takes Gun; Is Killed
BURLINGTON, Wis., May 26

Frank Althoff, 12 years old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Althoff, was fatally shot at his home in , New Munster, late yesterday afternoon.

In the Althoff home there was a double barreled shot gun and the little boy had been forbidden to touch it. Yesterday the lad wanted to go hunting and decided to take the gun from the home, and going up stairs and securing the gun, which was loaded, he raised a window and proceeded to drop it to the ground. In doing so the hammer of the gun struck against the window blind, exploded and the full charge of shot took effect in the boy's left breast, just above the heart.

A great hole was torn in his body and he died falling across the window sill.
