The Rev. John Ritland. uncle of the bride, read the service which united in marriage Miss Erma Helen Ritland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Ritland, Chippewa Falls, and Knute J. Takle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Takle, 2030 Carey ct. The ceremony took place at 4:30 p. m. on Apr. 3, at the home of the bride at Eagle Point.

The bride wore a floor-length dress of ice blue brocaded satin and a corsage of pink and white roses. Her cousin, Miss Laura Ritland, who was her only attendant, wore a floor-length gown of pink chiffon and a corsage of Talisman roses. Vincent Kehoe, Toronto, Canada, was the best man.

For the wedding ceremony, the bride's mother wore a coral print street-length dress, and the bridegroom's mother was gowned in black and white. Both had corsages of gardenias.

A wedding supper was served to those who attended the ceremony. In the evening, a reception for 125 guests was held at the bride's home. Those assisting were Miss Hilda Christianson, Miss Lois Kelly, Miss Audrey Ender, Miss Patsy Wiltrout, Miss Martha Richardson, and Miss Virginia Thorson.

For a weekend wedding trip to Madison and Milwaukee, the bride wore a navy blue wool suit with tan and blue accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. Takle are at home at 4344 S. Ellis ave., Chicago, where Mr. Takle is a graduate assistant in electrical engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, a member of the University 4-H club, and Three Squares club. She is now a sociologist.
