Research notes for Caroline

Carrie's history before marrying Fred is a bit difficult to track. The information provided here is accurate to the best of my knowledge...that is to say, it very well could be wrong.

I believe Carrie was born Fredericka Caroline in Germany in 1859 (or possibly 1858) to Carl and Carolina "Lena" Fischer. Carl and Lena had 8 children. The first two daughters (inexplicably) have VERY similar names...
Karoline Fredricka "Lena" 1855-1931 m/Gottlieb Nuebling
Fredericka Caroline "Carrie" 1859-1930 m/ Fred Richter
Marie 1862-1862 -- Died on boat during immigration
Anna Sophia 1863-1935 m/ William Bartz
William Frederick Sr. 1866-1937
George Heinrich 1867-1946
Heinrick "Henry" 1869-1906
Emma S 1873-1907 m/Charles Buddinger

With the exception of her name and the sister, Marie, this information is not exactly new. What led me to the name was two things...the 1870 census record and this (probable) Immigration record. This immigration record also pointed out Marie. Most other researchers I've run across list Carrie as CAROLINE FICSHER.
