George T L. Wellendorf passed away at the age of seventy four years, seven months, and twenty two days on Friday, December 29.

Mr. Wellendorf was born on May 7, 1893 in Ida Grove to Henry and Louisa Wellendorf.

Mr. Wellendorf worked at the carpenters trade for 55 years in and around Ida Grove.

He was a member of the Winabrenner Church of God. He was a Charter member of the American Legion Post here in Ida Grove. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

He was married September 24, 1924 to Neva Satterlee.

Mr. Wellendorf leaves to mourn his passing his wife Neva, a sister. Mrs. Fred Michaelson of Ida Grove, a step-daughter, Mrs. Orville Anderson of Storm Lake, and a step-grandson Fred Anderson of Ida Grove, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tues., Jan. 2, at Christensen Funeral Home for George T. Wellendorf. Mr. Wellendorf, 74, has been a long time resident of Ida Grove. For many years he and his wife have owned and operated the Wellendorf Hotel.
Rev. James McKenzie Of the Winebrenner Church of God officiated at the services with burial in the Ida Grove Cemetery.
