Maxine Adelaine Libby Renz, 78, of Ackley and formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 30, at Presbyterian Home, Ackley, of natural causes.
She was born July 17, 1911, in Waterloo, daughter of Thomas and Alice Lindona Sweet Libby. She married Kenneth J. Renz on July 15, 1952, in Waterloo. He died May 6, 1977.
Mrs. Renz was a 1932 graduate of West High School and worked at Iowa Public Service as a cashier for 10 years, leaving there in 1952. She also worked for James Black Drygood Store.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Esther Hansen and Mary Platt, both of Waterloo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today with the family greeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Presbyterian Home, Ackley.
