Sylvester W. Richter, 76, Burlington, died in Burlington Memorial Hospital Monday after a short illness.
He was born Nov. 2, 1899, in Wheatland Township, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Richter.
He married Edna Mary Busch in Milwaukee June 23, 1942.
He was a retired farmer and custodian. He had been a resident of Burlington since 1942. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Burlington, and its Holy Name Society; the Burlington Knights of Columbus and the Burlington Catholic Order of Men's Foresters.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Don, DePere, Wis.; a granddaughter, a sister, Mrs. Edward (Amelia) Schlitz, Burlington; and two brothers, Lawrence, Wheatland and Edward, New Munster.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
RICHTER-Funeral services for the late Sylvester W. Richter of Burlington, who passed away June 28th will be held on Thursday, July 1st at 11 a.m. at St Mary's Church in Burlington with the Monsignor Busche officiating. Interment following in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schutte-Daniels Funeral Home Wednesday after 4 p.m. Parish Prayer Vigil will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
