James "Jim" Ogden, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was born on Jan. 3, 1939, the son of Herman and Evelyn (Pendleton) Ogden.

Jim graduated from Central High School in 1956. He was united in marriage to Joan Jerisha on Oct. 17, 1964, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Sharon, Dave and Julie. Jim worked for Thorstad Chevrolet, in the parts department for over 30 years. An accomplished violinist, Jim played with the Madison Civic Orchestra and his passion for music stayed with him throughout his life as well as his fondness for his 1930 Model A Ford Coupe.

Jim is survived by his children, Sharon Wright, Dave (Diane Shorette-Ogden) Ogden and Julie (Pete) Gullickson; Joan Ogden who helped Jim through his lengthy illness; grandchildren, Lucas, Lauren and Keri; brothers, Frank (Rie) Ogden and Tom (Pat) Ogden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bob.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 19, 2016, with Father John Silva presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday. If you choose, memorials may be made to the IHM Endowment Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
