Rock Valley Couple Wed
A marriage of interest occurred last Wednesday when Miss Margaret Keegan became the bride of Joe Haas at St. Mary's church. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Heffernan, the latter a sister of the bride. Miss Keegan has been teaching in rural schools and Mr. Haas is a farmer living northwest of Rock Valley. Rev. A.J. Forester performed the ceremony.

Margaret Haas
Mrs. Joe Haas 66, of Rock Valley, died Monday, July 28, at her home of a brief illness.
Services were held July 30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with The Rev. John Thomas officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.
Mrs. Haas the former Margaret Keegan, was born September 12, 1913, at Rock Valley.
She married Mr. Haas at Rock Valley and he died in 1964.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Spirit Lake and Jim of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two brothers, Clarence of Rock Valley and Percy of Sioux Falls; one sister Mrs. Larry (Arlene) Remmer of Waterloo; and four grandchildren.
