Vincent D. Engel, 45, Long Beach, Calif., a former resident of South Sioux City, died unexpectedly Monday night in Long Beach.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Cypries Church in Long Beach. A memorial has been established in his name at the church.

Mr. Engel was born March 18, 1924, in South Sioux City. He owned Engel Electric Co. in South Sioux City before moving to Long Beach about 14 years ago.

Survivors include the widow, Yvonne; three daughters, Mrs. Jim Ridenhoure of San Diego, Calif., and Peggy and Laurie, both of the home; one grandchild; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Engel of South Sioux City; six brothers, Jack, Patrick, and William, all of South Sioux City, Jerry of Sioux City, Corky of Superior, Wis., and Charles of Spencer, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Marie Brittian of Lakewood, Calif.
