Dennis J. "Big Mac" McLaughlin, Born to Eternal Life July 8, 2013 age 75 years. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Behrs). Dear father of Pamela (Isaias) Pacheco, Denise, Shawn, Angela and Monica (Ken) McLaughlin. Loving grandpa of Joseph, Alex, Noelle, Nicky, Aaron, Brenden and Bryant. Loving great-grandpa of Damien, Selena and Jayden. Heroic big brother of Colleen (Mark) Mitchell. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday, July 12, 4-6 PM at St. Rose Catholic Church, corner of 30th and Michigan Sts. followed by a Funeral Mass at 6 PM.
Dennis was a loyal Elk's Lodge member, a Summerfest guardian and an Irish Fest enthusiast.
He was Uncle Den-den to many, his term of endearment to young ones was "Poopsie". Dennis was Santa Claus to thousands of children and families. He was a coach to many teams throughout his years and a super fan at his children's sporting events.
He always had a smile or word of advice and if that didn't work-a shot of whiskey and a beer would cure all.
He was an avid fisherman and golfer and would offer his expertise to any and all, whether they wanted it or not.
