Sue Ann Isaacson, 58, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at her home.

She was born February 13, 1950, in Burlington, to the late William and Henriette (nee: Klein) Busch. She spent her early life in Burlington. On September 19, 1970, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington, Sue was united in marriage to Richard Isaacson. Following marriage, they resided in Sturtevant for seven years before moving to Burlington in 1978. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School. After graduation, Sue attended Cosmetology School in Lake Geneva. Sue worked as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant for Otters Sales and Service and also the Write Source. She then worked as a Hair Dresser at various nursing homes, mainly Lakeland Nursing Home in Elkhorn. Sue was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington. She volunteered as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader and also a 4H Leader. She was a member of the Burlington School Board. Sue and Ric met at the Racine County Fair and had never missed a fair since. She enjoyed showing her sheep and entering the costume classes at the fairs. Sue also enjoyed attending the Wisconsin State Fair and the local area county fairs. Sue grew up on a family farm and always enjoyed feeding and caring for the animals. She loved cooking and feeding large groups of family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ric of Burlington; their children, Jacob (Toni) Isaacson of Burlington and Sarah (Bill) Erickson of Burlington; grandchildren, Zeke Isaacson and Isaac Erickson; and by a brother, Tom (Sandy) Busch of Burlington. Sue is further survived by nieces and nephews, Jason, Julie, Jenny, Nick, Jeff, Ben, Karissa, Elizabeth, and Becky; a special aunt, Annette (Jim) Nolan of Kansasville; father- in-law, Richard Isaacson; and by in-laws, Marc (Debbie) Isaacson of Sturtevant, Alice (Dennis) Busch of Burlington, and Dale (Peggy) Isaacson of Sturtevant. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her mother-in-law, Jeannette Isaacson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Twin Lakes with Rev. Mike Erwin officiating. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Friday, September 12, 2008, from 4 until 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Vigil and at St. John Catholic Church on Saturday, September 13, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials to Hospice Alliance have been suggested.

    The family would like to express a special thank you to Peggy Fuller, who was her friend and caregiver and to Patti Urban, who was her hospice aide, as well as all the doctors, nurses, caregivers, and clergy throughout Sue's illness.
