Edward B. Siehoff, age 87, passed away Saturday May 17, 2014 at Burlington Aurora Memorial Hospital.

Ed was born January 6, 1927 to Vincent and Mary (nee Busch) Siehoff in Burlington. His early life was spent in Burlington where he attended St. Charles Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's High School. On June 18, 1949 he was united in marriage to Arlene Kerkman at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster. Following their marriage they resided in Burlington. Ed served in World War II as a staff sergeant, stationed in Italy. He was a lifetime member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Ed was employed at (Cunningham) Epping Buick for 47 years in various departments. He retired as a fulltime employee in 1992 and continued working part-time till 2003. Ed then worked for Lynch, part-time until January of 2009 when he officially retired. In his early years Ed enjoyed hunting and always enjoyed working. He had a passion for automobiles and when he bought one "it was always his last one".

Ed is survived by his wife, son Tom (Jean) Siehoff, grandchildren; Spring (Phil) Ettner, Chad Siehoff (Samantha Anderson), Blake (Madeline) Siehoff, great-grand- children; Aubrie, Sean and Lucas Ettner, Alexis and Landon Siehoff, Aliyah and Scarlett Siehoff. He is further survived by a sister Kathryn (Don) Brook, sisters and brother-in-laws and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paul Webber and staff, the Aurora Visiting Nurses and the staff of Aurora Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 7:00PM at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Sergio Lizama officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 20 from 4:00PM until 6:15 PM at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 10AM at St. Charles Cemetery.
