Janice M. Dorau

 

Janice M. Dorau, 67, of Kenosha, died Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at her home after a battle with brain cancer.

Born in Kenosha on July 1. 1937, she was the daughter of the late Clarence P. and Celeste C. (Richter) Fonk. A lifelong resident of Kenosha she graduated from St. Mary Catholic High School.

On April 26, 1958, she married James E. Dorau at St. Mary Catholic Church.

For many years she worked as a receptionist at Dynamatic. She later worked for Aid Association for Lutherans, WISPARK and UW-Parkside career center in clerical positions.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and Eastside Tennis and Fitness Club.

She enjoyed playing tennis, wintering in South Padre Island, Texas, and spending time at her cabin in Black River Falls.

Survivors include her husband of Kenosha; three sons, Michael (Leslie Rose) of Walworth, and Robert (Mary Richbark) and Thomas (Theresa), both of Kenosha; two daughters, Donna (Jeffrey) Dorau Parry of Brier, Wash., and Debra (Matthew) McGrain of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, Ronald (Fyrn) Fonk of Eager, Ariz.; six sisters, Betty Riley of Kenosha, Margaret Seitz of Racine, Kathleen (Robert) Frederick of Redding, Calif., Carolyn (Robert) Abrahamson and Judy (Tom) Kauzrich, both of Kenosha, and Joyce (Martin) Walsh of St. Charles, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

Proko Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


DORAU - Funeral Services for Mrs. James (Janice M.) Dorau will be held on Friday, December 10th from Proko Funeral Home and Crematory, 511-60th St., at 9:30 A.M. Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Parish Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday. Memorial remembrances to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family. Mrs. Dorau is also survived by her nine loving grandchildren, Benjamin Dorau, Daniel and Timothy Parry, Joseph and Danielle Dorau, Jessica and Nicholas Dorau, and Jacob and Abigail McGrain; and her sister-in-law, Rita Rush of Kenosha.
