Margaret J. Elbert, 63, Fontana, died Friday July 29, at Lakeland Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1931, in oak Park, IL, the daughter of Charles F. Jarrard and Margaret Burkhardt Jarrard. She graduated from Williams Bay High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She attended the Fontana Community Church.
She is survived by one son, Phillip Elbert, Fort Wayne, IN; two daughters, Susan Steele, Anamosa, IA, and Joanne Kantner, Sycamore, IL; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Farnham Jarrard, Bristol, VA.
Funeral services were held Monday Aug. 1, at the Fontana Community Church with Rev. John Helt officiating.
Burial was at the East Delavan Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Toynton's Walworth Funeral Home.
The family suggested memorials the Fontana Park Commission, in care of Joanne Kantner, 449 Ellen Drive, Genoa, IL 60135.
