Hollencamp vs Tanking

Records indicated Mary was actually Mary Hollencamp d/Ben and Francis (Tanking) Hollencamp. Here's what I THINK happened...I did not dig deep enough to PROVE this... Mary Tanking was born to John and Mary Sr. (nee: Hollencamp) Mary Sr. has a brother, Benjamin. Mary Sr. died 3 weeks after Mary Jr. (this Mary) was born. I think Mary Jr. was sent to live with her uncle Benjamin and wife, Francis. It would explain the 1910 and 1920 census records.
