Henry Kerkman Died Thursday
BURLINGTON
Henry Kerkman, 94, New Munster, a lifelong resident of the community, died Thursday at Burlington Memorial Hospital.
Kerkman was born July 8, 1861 in the Town of Wheatland. On Oct. 6, 1891 he was married to Mary Magdaline Elbert at St. Alphonsus church, New Munster. She preceded him in death.
He was employed as a farmer in Kenosha County all his life and was active on the farm until he was 84 years old.
Surviving are two sons, Edwin Kerkman, Lake Geneva and Albert Kerkman, Rt. 5,
Burlington, two daughters, Mrs. Alvin Robers, Burlington and Mrs. Sterling Thompson, Kenosha, one brother, Joseph J. Kerkman, Rt. 5, Burlington, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a. m.. Monday. Jan. 30 at St. Alphonsus church, New Munster, Rev. Frank Kraus officiating. Burial will be at St. Alphonsus cemetery. Friends may call at the McCarthy Rueter Funeral home, 681 Geneva St., from Sunday at 2 p. m. until service time Monday.
