Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Kerkman, 79, Rt. 5, Burlington, died at Memorial Hospital Monday following a short illness. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henning, she was born in Chicago Nov. 7, 1893.

She spent her early life in Chicago and was educated there. On Oct. 22, 1929, she married Albert Kerkman. She moved to Burlington following her marriage.

She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, New Munster, and the Christian Mothers Society. Her husband is her only survivor. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

KERKMAN — Funeral services for the late Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Kerkman, of Rt. 5 Burlington, Wis., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1st from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, New Munster, Wis. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Friends may call at the McCarthy-Koening Funeral Home, 473 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington, Wis., after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Rosary Services 8 p.m. Tuesday.
