Milo F. Fritchen, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints - St. Mary's in Racine. He was born March 31, 1932, in Racine County to Allan and Anne (nee: Hansen) Fritchen. On Sept. 24, 1955, he married Arlene Katterhagen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dover. Following marriage they made their home in Union Grove. He spent his early life in the Union Grove area and graduated from Union Grove High School. Milo was an appliance repairman for Sears Roebuck & Company. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Union Grove. His memberships include, Union Grove Lions Club, where he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, and Midwest Tool Collectors. He enjoyed wood carving, fish and ducks and especially Santas. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his cottage and antique tools. He was an avid history buff and he loved to play cards. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Arlene Fritchen of Union Grove; two sons, Allan (Barbara) Fritchen of Union Grove, Karl (Beth) Fritchen of Pewaukee; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Jennifer, Joshua and Matthew. He is further survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in -law, Ruth & Clifford Noll, Philip & Donna Katterhagen, Rose & Nick Fettes, Shirley & Dennis Shauer and Mary & Myron Bohn. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Union Grove with Rev. Howard Haase officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dover. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday, Oct. 13, from 4 until 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to the Lions Camp or to American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jim Simonds, the 2nd Floor Nursing Staff, the Cancer Center Staff and Wheaton Franciscan Hospice Staff.
