BURLINGTON

A former resident of Burlington, Emil Michaelis Jr., 53, of Milwaukee, died Friday in Milwaukee.

Michaelis was born on July 18, 1906, in Illinois. He was married to the former Margaret Forge, Burlington, and they lived in Milwaukee after their marriage. He had resided in Burlington for 18 years.

Surviving are his wife. Margaret; a stepdaughter, Sandra Ann, four brothers, Elmer and Harold of New York, Lawrence of Milwaukee and Leonard of Bassetts; and two sisters. Mrs. Angela Lang and Mrs. Leota Tracey, Chicago.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at a Burlington funeral home. Burial will be at the Burlington cemetery.

Michaelis was born on July 18, 1906, in Illinois. He was married to the former Margaret Forge, Burlington, and they lived in Milwaukee after their marriage. He had resided in Burlington for 18 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at a Burlington funeral home. Burial will be at the Burlington cemetery.

Research notes for Emil

BTW 1930 (census) and 1940 (census) Emil married a woman named Mary Helen or just Helen. Her maiden name is unknown to me. Then divorced in late 1943 (RJT 06 Nov 1943). No known children from this marriage.
