Funeral services for Dorothy Scholbrock, 81, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 1986, at Assumption Catholic Church. The Rev. John J. Friederick officiated with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements were with Conway Home.
She died June 20 in the Howard County Hospital.
Dorothy (Holthaus) Scholbrock was born June 28, 1904, at Festina, the daughter of John and Sophie (Wieling) Holthaus. She attended school in Festina.
On February 7, 1934, Dorothy married Clem Scholbrock in Festina. They were the parents of five children. She was a member of Assumption Church and the Rosary Society. Dorothy has been a resident of Evans Memorial Home the past three-and-one-half years.
She is survived by her husband, Clem of Cresco; two daughters, Mrs. Sy (Ivanell) Zobeck of Perryville, WI., and Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Svestka of Protivin; two sons, Orville of Charles City and Wayne of Cresco; also 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Clarence Holthaus of Harvard, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Lowell; four sisters, Lizzie Heying, Ida Timp, Kate Bengfort and Emma Timp; four brothers, Herman, Leo, Ray and John Holthaus.
