John "Jack" Greening, 50, of Hastings, formerly of Rochester, died Monday at Regina Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

He was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Chippewa Falls, Wis. He married Vivan Elpert April 12, 1958, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester. Mr. Greening was the owner of Master Service Co., in Hastings.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Ella Greening of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Klein of Leeds, Utah, and Brenda Ann of Hastings; a son, Jeffrey of Hastings; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dennis Wiechmann of Austin; and a brother Francis of Rochester. His father preceded him in death.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at Garden of Angels Catholic Church in Hastings. Burial will be Garden of Angels Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesay at Caturia Funeral Home in Hastings. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
