Peacefully in hospital on Thursday, June 22, 2000, age 85 years. Mary Smith, beloved wife of the late Richard McGrath. Dear mother of Tom (Anne), Richard, all of Ottawa, Mary-Jane Birch of Aurora and Bill (Janice) of Hudson, P.Q. Loving grandmother of Jessica, Sarah, Michael and Christopher. Sister of Rita McCartin of Winnipeg. Predeceased by sister Helen O'Connell and brother Joe Smith. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd. at Roosevelt on Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Basilica, 281 Nepean St., Ottawa, on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
