Harry J. Strong, 77, Hwy. AA, Suring, died Aug. 9, 1992 at home. He was born July 11, 1914 in Townsend to the late Oscar and Marie (Bartz) Strong. Mr. Strong married Elinor Richter Sept. 3, 1941. The couple lived in Clintonville and he retired as Night Superintendent at FWD after 40 years of employment. They moved to Breed in 1977. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 197, Clintonville.

Survivors include his wife Elinor, two daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol and Marvin Sandberg; Penny and Bob Popp, all of Shawano; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sandra Strong, Green Bay; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Doug Strong, Derby, Kan.; Bob and Billy Strong, Mesquite, Tex.; Jerry and Lee Strong, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister Irene Strong, Mountain; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Masonic rite 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Breed Union Cemetery.
