Albert N. Theriault
November 20, 1936 - March 10, 2022

Albert N. Theriault, age 85, completed his earthly journey on Thursday, March 10, 2022. He was born on November 20, 1936, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the late George and Edith (Green) Theriault. Growing up in Brighton, Albert later attended Central Michigan University, where he met the love of his life, the former Barbara J. Bruzewski, who survives him. They were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Auburn on October 14, 1961. Albert is also survived by his children; David (Tanisha) Theriault, Curt (Jill) Theriault, Sandra Theriault, Eric (Michelle) Theriault, Yvette (Brian) Kalinowski, and Sean (Anthony Bristol) Theriault, and his grandchildren Kristi, Kaleigh, Nicholas, Adam, Hayley, Jake, Larissa, and Allison. Also surviving Albert is his brother Gerald (Janet) Theriault and many nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by Sandy J. Theriault and many close cousins and friends. Albert was predeceased by his beloved grandson (Nathan Lee Theriault). Albert began his career at Dow Chemical, but shortly thereafter started, worked at, and retired from Design Craftsmen in 2007 after almost 40 years. He enjoyed playing cards, watching sports (including those of his children and grandchildren), and doing projects around the house. All who knew him, appreciated his quick wit and self-deprecating humor, but most of all his kindness, especially to his “Sweetie,” with whom he was frequently caught holding hands. His family has been the grateful beneficiary of his woodworking projects, including pens, clocks, wine stoppers, computer stands, desk organizers, cabinets, tables, and, their personal favorite, salt and pepper shakers. Always a willing participant to experience new places, he most enjoyed spending time with his family, who helped him live life to the fullest.

Albert’s funeral will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 11:00 am, officiated by Father Andrew LaFramboise at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Freeland, where he was an active member. The family will receive friends at Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Home (Auburn), on Monday, March 14, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, with a wake service at 7:00 pm, and, additionally, at 10:00 am until his Funeral Mass. Burial will immediately follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Fisherville. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Toni and Trish House.
