Robert Jamerson, 82, of Phoenix, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Eckstein Center, Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was born May 19, 1932, in Waterloo, son of Harold and Bernice Jamerson. He married Glennes Burger on June 11, 1953, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waterloo.
Robert graduated from Iowa State University in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He practiced architecture throughout Iowa and Illinois, ultimately retiring from Kirk Gross Co. in 2000.
Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Kris (Jim) Wahl and Lori (Roger) Keegan, both of Phoenix; two sons, Craig (Peggy) of Peoria, Ariz., and Paul of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren, Andy, Alex, Kate, Stacia, Jessica, Sarah, Stephanie, Nicholas, Alexis and Haley; seven great-grandchildren, Keyne, Kason, Kashlyn, Jordan, Jaydon, Kale and Hadley; a brother, Charles of Elysian, Minn.; and a sister, Jan Keck of Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Preceded in death by: his parents; and three children, Susan Thayer, Tim Jamerson and Robert Jamerson Jr.
Graveside services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
Memorials in lieu of flowers: may be sent in care of Lori Keegan, 4729 E. Paradise Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85032, for organizations providing services that benefit the care of his grandson, Nicholas Jamerson.
And he will raise you up on eagles' wings. Bear you on the breath of dawn. Make you to shine like me sun. And hold you in the palm of His hand.
