The funeral of Miss Bessie Mae Aderman was conducted in Methodist church here Monday afternoon.
She was born on a farm near Fairbank, Jan. 29, 1884. She attended the rural school and later graduated from Upper Iowa University at Fayette and attended the Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She taught in the public schools near Spokane, Wash., in Jesup, Fairbank and other places, but after the death of her mother has been home maker for her father, moving from the farm about 10 years ago.
She was organist of the Methodist church for a long time and a member of Fairbank Tourist club. She was manager of the relief work here several years and chairman of the Women's Republican committee of Buchanan county, and on the state advisory board of the party.
She is survived by her father, F. L. Aderman; two sisters. Mrs. Abbie Durham and Miss Emma Aderman, both of this place, and one nephew Emmett Durham also of Fairbank.
