Funeral Services to Be Conducted Wednesday for Olmsted County Pioneer
William P. Daly of Eyota, 61 years old, died today at St. Mary's hospital following a six years' illness with heart disease.
Born in Haverhill township November 7, 1872, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Daly, be lived in Olmsted county all his life. He taught in the Olmsted rural school and was graduated from the Rochester high school and St. Thomas college, St. Paul.
In 1898, he married Miss Nora Campion of Eyota, who died eight years ago. They lived for several years on farm south of Eyota and in 1914, moved to Eyota where Mr. Daly was engaged in the farm implement business for 10 years.
Children are Paul Daly of Rochester, Mrs. Lloyd Shabineau of Rockwood, Mich., and Mrs. Joseph Clemens, Mrs. Theodore Steinmetz, Jr., and William R. Daly of Eyota. A brother, J. R. Daly Of Rochester, and a sister, Mrs. John Coughlin of Burnstad, N. D., also survive with two grandchildren.
The body will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Steinmetz, at Eyota and funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer at Eyota. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Eyota.
