Paul W. Daly, 74, of Park Towers Apartments, investment securities sales representative for Zuehlke and Grieve, died early today at his home after an illness of several months.
Mr. Daly was born June 2, 1900, near Eyota and lived in the Rochester area all of his life. He worked for International Truck Sales from 1926 to 1938, and was a bulk dealer for Shell and Mobil oil companies from 1938 to 1944. From 1944 to 1956, he was general manager of the Cooperative Oil Co. He became associated with Zuehlke and Grieve in 1956. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his widow, the former Elizabeth Manahan, whom he married July 21, 1930, in Rochester; two sons, Roger of Rochester and Richard of Winona; a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Betty) Piper of Apple Valley; four grandchildren; a brother, William of San Francisco, and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Clemens and Mrs. Ted (Julia) Steinmetz, both of Eyota, and Mrs. Lloyd (Nora) Shabinaw of Detroit, Mich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church by the Revs. Roger Schiltz and James Hennessy. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Macken Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Thursday until time of services.
The Knights of Columbus will recite a Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday. The parish Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
