Francis Ketterhagen

 

Francis Ketterhagen, 56, a Town of Delmar resident, died suddenly at his home Monday.

He was born Feb. 17, 1913, at Burlington. At the age of 17 he moved to a farm south of Thorp and lived there until 10 years ago when he moved five miles north of Boyd. He was married to Leone Yeager at Boyd in 1946.

Mr. Ketterhagen is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Ketterhagen; two sons, John Francis Jr. and William J., both at home; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas Najbrt, presently in Germany; two brothers, Raymond and Herbert, Thorp; one sister, Mrs. Willard Peterson, Bateman; and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd, Thursday at 10 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. Msgr. Paschel L. Hirt will officiate.

Friends may call at the Leiser Funeral Home from 2 p.m. today, with the Rosary being recited at 8:30 p.m. The casket will remain closed.

On Tuesday morning, July 23 at eight o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd, Miss Leone Yeager became the bride of Francis Ketterhagen, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Ketterhagen of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. Father Leuther performed the double ring ceremony at a nuptial high mass.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white nylon over satin with sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice and long sleeves which came to points of lace over the wrists. The full skirt ended in a long train edged with lace and her long lace edged veil fell from a beaded crown. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Dorothy Peterson, niece of the groom, was first bridesmaid and she was dressed in a pink net over satin with matching blusher. Her bouquet was of pink and white carnations.

Anderella Gliesner, next bridesmaid, wore a yellow sheer nylon over satin with matching blusher. Her bouquet was of pink and white carnations.

Alice Lancor, third bridesmaid, was gowned in a pink sheer rayon over satin with matching blusher. Her bouquet was of pink and white carnations.

Little Marilyn Yeager, niece of the bride, was dressed in a long white net over taffeta trimmed with yellow, and her lace edged veil fell from a beaded crown. Her bouquet was of yellow and white carnations.

Earl Chivola, the ring bearer and nephew of the bride, wore a white sailor suit and carried a white lily.

Groomsmen were Leo, Victor and Aloysius Yeager, brothers of the bride, They all wore blue suits.

The bride's mother witnessed the marriage of her daughter in a brown print dress, while the groom's mother wore a blue print dress. Their corsages were of pink and white carnations.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner and supper were served at the bride's home.

Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles McCovret and son Jack, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Busch, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Busch and son Larry, all of Burlington, Wis.
