Donald H. Busch passed away on February 5, 2016, his 89th birthday, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center with his children at his side.

Born February 5, 1927 in Brighton, he was the son of Edward and Mary (nee Collings) Busch. He spent his early life in Brighton and graduated from high school.

On September 2, 1950, at St. Charles Church, he was united in marriage to Isabelle Porter. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington where they raised their family. Isabelle preceded him in death on April 6, 2002.

Don worked as a Plant Supervisor at Burlington Mills and also owned and operated Coated Fabrics Inc. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, enjoyed working on classic cars and golfing. He always loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Barb (Bill) Holst, Kris (Gary) Thole and Mark (Becky) Busch; grandchildren, Terry Holst, Tracy (Steve) Schoessling, Kelly (Bryan) Harjes, Scott (Angie) Thole, Deanna Busch and Donny Busch; great grandchildren, Ryan, Reagan, Sienna, Lilah, Dahlia, Ellie and Addie along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Walter (Agnes) Busch, Vic (Margaret) Busch, Ray (Micky) Busch, Lee (Mary) Busch and sisters, Clara (Ray) Brever and Lillian (Chuck) Riggs.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic School.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Aurora Memorial Hospital-Burlington and Aurora Lakeland Medical Center-Elkhorn, the staff at Lakeland Health Care, Aurora VNA Hospice and Fr. Jim Volkert for all their care, concern and prayers.

Mass of Christian Burial for Don will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Yamid Blanco presiding. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, February 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the CHURCH. Burial will follow the service at St. Charles Cemetery.
