Robert Busch, age 92, peacefully passed away, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 20 2013. Bob was born December 5, 1920 to William and Mary (née Uhlenhake) Busch in Burlington. His early years were spent in New Munster where he attended St. Alphonsus Grade School. On May 29, 1943 he was united in marriage to Rosemary Lois in New Munster. Following their marriage they resided in Burlington. Bob worked as a truck driver and a farmer all his life. He was a member of St. Charles Parish, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Knights of Columbus. Bob enjoyed gardening, watching sports, especially the Brewers and the Green Bay Packers and playing cards mainly Sheepshead and Euchre. He was inducted into the Burlington Baseball Hall of Fame on July 14, 2013. More than anything, Bob loved spending time with his children, the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Rosemary, his children: Kenneth (Maureen) Busch of Muskego, Dennis "Shrub" (Alice) Busch of Burlington, Colleen (Thomas) Zickert of Franklin, Dean (Diane) Busch of Stuart, FL and Doreen (Thomas) Wiemer of Burlington, grandchildren: Kelli, John & Jennifer Busch, Julie & Jeff Busch, Chris (Brannon) Guyette, Amy Zickert, William Busch and Bradley Wiemer, great-grandchildren: Hannah, Aubrey and Adam Guyette. He is further survived by his sister-in law Ruth Busch and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Albert, Fritz and Bill, sisters: Edna, Dorothy and Armella. The family has suggested memorials for Bob be made to: St. Charles Catholic Church, the or the . Bob's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the VNA Hospice staff for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 7:00PM at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Amann officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday July 25, from 4:00PM until 6:30PM at St. Charles. A private burial will be held on a later date.
