Raymond G. Brever, 88, of Kenosha, died Saturday (Oct. 17, 1998) at St. Joseph's Home, 9244 29th Ave.
Born on March 3, 1910 in Burlington, he was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Lenz) Brever.
He attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Burlington.
On June 5, 1935, he married Clara Busch in Brighton. She died on Sept. 16, 1981.
He was employed at Shell Oil Co. until coming to Kenosha in 1935. He then worked at American Brass for more than 41 years in yard maintenance.
He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and a former member of the Holy Name Society and of the Brass and Copper Union Local 9322.
Survivors include a son, Ronald of Kenosha; a daughter, Kathleen Ruffalo of Kenosha; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edmund of Kansasville and Donald of Burlington; and two sisters, Agnes Storlie of California and Ernestine Haase of Salem.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, John and Norbert; and three sisters, Imelda Eppers, Frances Lois and an infant sister, Imelda Brever.
Piasecki-Althaus-Thulin Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
BREVER — Funeral the late Mr. Raymond G. Brever will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 1998, at 9:15 a.m. from the Piasecki-Althaus-Thulin Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Brever will be on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Brever is survived by his loving sister-in-law and caregiver, Margaret Busch.
